The Trustees

Board of Deacons

E-mail Board of Deacons

The Deacons cooperate with the pastor in the ministering to the spiritual interests of the congregation.  We maintain order and a proper physical atmosphere at all services of worship and provide greeters and ushering at all services.  We provide a nursery for children up to age three.  After Sunday services, we have a fellowship hour with coffee and cookies. We also support fellowship activities such as Memorial day breakfast, summer Strawberry Social, tureen dinners, progressive dinners and our annual trip to Frontier Stadium for a RedWings  baseball game.  For more information, please contact Maryjane Starr at

Sunday School

E-mail Sunday School

The Union Church “Learning Community” provides Sunday morning Christian education and activities for children ages 3 through high school.  The children meet during the second half of the Sunday morning service, both for the convenience of families, and so the children can take part in the general worship.  The Learning Community offers small groups where students learn about the Bible and Christian values, and how these relate to their lives today.  Our students often meet as a large group to work on community service projects.  Throughout the year we do special activities for the congregation on Sunday morning such as musical and dramatic productions. The Christmas program is always a special event. Please Contact Cheryl Valvano with any questions.

Senior Chior

Union Church Senior Choir meets on a weekly basis from September to mid June. The choir prepares two anthems each week to present during the regular worship service on each Sunday morning. Additional performances are occasionally prepared for special church and community events. New members are always welcome! Contact Jim Burlingame, at 585-305-6654 for more information.

Handbell Chior

Our Handbell Choir meets Thursday evenings at 6:30 pm from mid September to mid June. We play in Sunday worship services several times during the year and also play at different locations in the community from time to time. Membership is open to anyone (from Junior High age on up) who is able to commit to the rehearsal time.

Women’s Fellowship

We endeavor to become more active and appealing to all ages of women in Union Church.  We offer fellowship, education and service through different activities, which are appealing to all ages of women.  Our fund raising include our annual events; Strawberry Social,  Harvest Dinner and Bazaar and various other activities.
We provided outreach to shut-in older members and to those whose were ill.  Most importantly, is the fellowship and companionship we enjoy with each other, whether it is a work project or just a fun gathering.

We welcome new members and ideas, so please contact us either by
email or call 889-1804.
